The story of Champagne Michel Laval began in the late 19th century, when Jules Laval, our great-great-grandfather, cultivated the first vines in Boursault. The family preserved this legacy with devotion, transforming a simple vineyard into a true expression of identity.
Since 1948, when Roger and Fabienne produced the first bottles under our name, Champagne Michel Laval has carried a promise: wines of sincerity, emotion, and authenticity.
Our 6.5 hectares of vineyards lie on the clay-limestone and sandy soils of the Marne Valley, so diverse and rich they are often compared to Burgundy. Every plot is cultivated with biodiversity in mind, using eco-responsible practices that protect the soil’s vitality and the ecosystem around it.
Guided today by Aurore and Florian Laval, the estate pursues a viticulture that respects both tradition and the future, where each harvest expresses the harmony of family, nature, and savoir-faire.
At Michel Laval, each cuvée is shaped by patient ageing and meticulous blending, uniting Aurore’s care in the vineyard with Florian’s precision in the cellar.
From the freshness of our Blanc de Blancs to the depth of Le Secret de Jules, every champagne reflects the spirit of Boursault and the family behind it.
Together, we share not just champagne, but the values of heritage, sincerity, and celebration.
